Any helpful comments on the durability of an Astro Transmission? I bought a '99 with 134000 miles. I was told that the tranny was still in good shape. Should I be concerned?
My next door neighbor has an Astro and says he hasn’t had any problems and he also tows a 19 foot travel trailer with it periodically.
I have no idea of his mileage however.
Were you able to have a mechanic check out the vehicle before you bought it? (always the best idea)
Do you have an idea how well (and how often) the vehicle was serviced or driven?
If there are no noises or klunking when the tranny shifts there shouldn’t be a problem.
