One of my roommates had an Oscar. He kept goldfish to feed it and had a small holding tank for the goldfish. They were inhaled pretty quickly once they hit the water in the Oscar’s tank.

Yes my Oscar occasionally got goldfish as a treat. My local shop was run by a family, the daughter would not sell goldfish if she found out they were to be used as food.
When I was in college I use to frequent this bar in Syracuse NY called Oscar’s. They had an Oscar fish in a tank behind the bar. They’d ring a bell to tell everyone it was time to feed Oscar (usually Raw meat)..
