1995 Ford Probe with 4 cylinder. Vehicle lost electrical power and ran down the battery. The alternator was replaced but after a few minutes of the engine running the alternator starts singing loudly and the output drops drastically. It almost sounds like the alternator can’t keep up with the load. The alternator and battery are showing to be good. Any suggestion before I install the pain in a$$ alternator again? Thanks…
Does the alternator output amperage increase while the output voltage decreases? You may want to install a different battery before you go for a alternator replacement, perhaps the battery is not as good as you think.
