The a/c in my car (a 95 Honda Accord) is broken. I am buying a new car in the fall, so I really don’t want to put the money into fixing it. The problem is that I need to take a long-distance driving trip this summer. I don’t think I’ll be able to make it without some cool air. Are there any effective portable air conditioners or fans for cars? I have seen some online but I am hesitant to buy one. Thanks.
Check to see how much it will cost to fix it. If it’s just a couple hundred bucks it will be worth getting it fixed. A car with a running AC is worth more then one that’s NOT.
I saw an engineer in Texas who mounted a household window air conditioner unit on the roof of his car and wired it to an inverter connected to the battery.
