my fan or belt makes noise when i turn on the air conditioner. this happens when the car is in idle and goes away when i step on the car. this usually happens at stop lights.
It’s most likely a loose AC compressor drive belt. Cheap and easy to fix. Considering the age of the car I’d think about having a new belt installed.
Which part of the car are you stepping on when the noise goes away?
