Great test! The hill in question for me is my own driveway, in central Ohio. I had trouble last winter getting out of my driveway as my garage is at the bottom of the hill and the street is at the top. I can pull out of my garage and get the car facing forward but there is no room for a “running start”. With my Sienna minivan and All Season tires, I could not get out unless the driveway was plowed AND salted. This left me unable to pick up my kids from school two days last year. 
My question is, should I attempt the same vehicle WITH Winter Tires for the 2010-2011 winter, try to get my driveway slope decreased or invest in an AWD minivan?
