2.2L Vtec engine. Idling fast at 1,000 rpm, surge to 1,500 rpm, drop back to 1,000 rpm. Repeat surge cycle ad nausem. Replace intake manifold gasket but problem persists.
What are next steps and in what order. Thx
First check all vacuum hoses to see if any are disconnected or have a crack in them.
If no vacuum leaks are found, then you need to look at the Idle Air Control (IAC).
The IAC may need to be replaced on this Accord of unknown vintage and unknown odometer mileage.
