Under treaty we had to use Russina construction crews… The Russians stuffed it with so many bugging devices there was no way to remove all of them and the building was torn down and rebuilt…
In the New Building, the US Emblem built into the walls with carefully checked for bugs and none were found. But later they realized that the Russians were transmitting microwaves at the building and they found that a signal was being transmitted back out of the embassy when the Microwave were transmitted…
Further investigation found “inert” listening devices in the emblems that once they were hit with microwaves, the listening devices became active…
