well thank you for the spot of optimisim, judging by the appearance of the undercarrage, it will only b a matter of removing the front suspension, as well as i plan on swapping my automatic tranny for his manual with the transfercase and both front and rear driveshafts due to the length difference. i will then have to build a long arm kit, spring pockets, panhard bar, and new crossmembers, it all doesnt seem to b too much to me, i have built custom suspensions for other vehicles, but never a 4x4 swap, just wanted to know if it has been done before
There is nothing your imagination can come up with that hasn’t been done before.
I had a friend who loved Sunbeam Tigers. So much that he restored three, one of which was his daily driver…he had no cars other than the Tigers. He had a whole bunch of leftover parts from the restorations, so he decided to (and did) take a 4x4 truck chassis and put a Sunbeam Tiger body on it. Strange, but true.
