2024 Honda Accord Hybrid - Good buy?

If the problem amounts to something that “materially affects the drivability or safety” of the vehicle, there is Lemon Law relief available. And, in my experience, it’s not that difficult to obtain that relief.

I crafted a Lemon Law demand letter regarding the problems with my friend’s 2005 Rav-4, and Toyota promised that they would buy the vehicle back from him if their regional service manager and an engineer were unable to remedy the situation. (The dealer had failed, on 3 occasions)

We gave them that one last try, and it worked. But, we had it in writing that Toyota would come to his assistance with a check if it didn’t work, and that was my proof that my Lemon Law demand letter worked.

OK, since most vehicle warranties are 36000 or 3 years the question is why is a 1 year old vehicle on a used lot.

Where should those used vehicles go?

Every car dealer I worked for always had a dozen or more vehicles on the lot that are 1 year old. One out of a hundred might have some type of “glitch”, but no reason to fear buying a used vehicle.

Google it! I have bought several low mileage cars from Carmax with no problems. I have bought new cars that did have problems.

Nobody’s changing anyon’s mind about this

We all do what makes sense for us

But what about synthetic vs regular oil?

Just kidding.

Me, too, since my first car, a 1950 Chevy bought in 1963, to my current (and probably last) car, a 2011 Toyota Venza.

There’s nothing like the feeling of not worrying about parking lot dings and high insurance bills.

I’m lucky to have a wife (of 56 years) who trusts me to bring home a good car. “As long as it has four wheels, it’s good enough for me.”

Some of the cars I brought home were not good – 1980 Renault Alliance, 1994 Ford Taurus – but we live and learn.
