battery go dead every three days. noted accessory plug in in back console stays lit. could this cause enough btrybdrainage.
What?? got to love typos… lol
It depends on the current draw… You could always just disconnect it or pull the fuse and see if it helps or not…
Don’t rule out a bad battery…
Here is 3 good videos to show you how to check…
Need to find out what is causing it to be lighted.
The dashboard light might indicate the console’s computer remains active, and that could cause a significant current drain. The computers should be in “sleep” mode when the car is parked and not being used. Active computers use considerably more current than those is sleep mode. And their activity might be keeping other computers in the car active too. Do you have any electronic gadgets plugged into the car’s usb port, obd II port, etc? If so , that could keep the computer’s awake.
How old is the battery? I’d guess 2 to maybe 3 years…but the battery may be going bad.
I’d also unplug the accessory item and see if that makes a difference first. Good place to start.
