I purchased a new 2016 4runner the have replaced the idle pullies I took it in because the engine was pretty loud while idling and it almost had a knocking sound to it this was concerning it took it back and they replaced the pullies has anyone had a problem with this? I have 44,000miles on it and my battery supposable bad wouldn’t this be under warrenty ? they were trying to charge me for the repair but I have the extended warrenty I purchased Toyota for there reliability please don’t fail me now
These engines aren’t terribly noisy, if it is knocking I don’t think anyone would replace the idler pulleys, those don’t knock.
The warranty on the battery is 3 years/36,000 miles. Service contracts don’t cover the battery. Check your service contract for coverage.
