What a stealer says is irrelevant. It must be confirmed by an independent inspector. Like myself. They prefer dealing with owners rather than insurance companies because they - the owners - are more susceptible to extortion.
I agree the owner should have a right to do their own oil changes & remain ok under the warranty terms, but the warranty company should have the right to see evidence provided by the owner that the owner actually did the oil changes and used the correct products . Dated receipts of oil & filter purchases & the ownerâs corresponding service notes for example.
