2016 Mercedes-Benz GL-Class - Start stop button issue

Recently I had hard time to push start My GLC 300 Automatic. when apply the break and push the start it not responding couple of time then start.

I presume you aren’t hearing the normal “rrr rrr rrr” sound when you attempt to crank the engine. Likely causes

  • battery faulty or not properly charged b/c of alternator problem
  • ignition switch faulty
  • transmission or other interlock neutral safety switch faulty
  • starter motor faulty
  • positive or ground wiring problems

If I had that problem on my Corolla, first step would be to measure the voltage at the starter motor “s” terminal (the thinner wire). During cranking attempts it should measure at least 10.5 volts. Measure voltage from starter “s” terminal to starter case.
