2016 Honda Accord brake vibration

2nd. instance of brake vibration problem driving at beltway speeds. Is this an apparent defect

Have the brakes inspected to determine if there’s a warped brake rotor.

Tester

Some cars with some drivers in some cities can create brake pulsation over and over in an individual car. Some cars are more sensitive, some drivers create more pulsation and some cities stop and go driving can cause warped rotors. Defect? Probably not. Try a different brand of brake pad and brake rotor.

Are you saying this vibration occurs when hard braking at the “beltway speed” you refer to?

I suspect it is some kind of a rotor or pads problem, which any good inde mechanic shop should be able to sus out. Sometimes when the ABS system activates it can sort of mimic a pedal pulsation effect too, which is normal.

No hard braking, just normal pressure applied at speeds over 45mph. I had the same problem at 8000 miles, they resurfaced both front rotors, 6000 miles later the same pulsation occured. What do you think is causing the same problem again?

Thanks.

I wouldn’t say a defect, more like the OEM brakes are not strong enough for your driving style. I would look into upgrading the brakes to something fancier like Brembo brake pads/roters. I warped the rotors on my 2007 Accord manual right away with all of the city driving I do. My dad has the same car and he does all highway driving and his don’t warp.

Resurfacing makes the rotors thinner, which adversely affects their ability to handle heat and can increase the likelihood if warping. Suggest next time to replace the rotors with new ones instead. New replacement rotors are usually not overly expensive.
