2016 Ford Escape - Battery drain

We had 2 Cobalts, kept one from new for 10 years and the other 11 years. We never replaced the batteries and i attribute that to being in the trunk.

Now that you seem to have resolved the battery issue, I have to wonder about how often you have maintenance performed on your vehicle. In addition to wondering about your regimen for oil changes, I wonder how often you have the brake’s hydraulic system flushed. If it has never been done, after 9 years of sitting, it is possible that there is a lot of water diluting the brake fluid, and that’s not a good thing. Also, if the tires are the original ones, they need to be replaced, even though the tread is barely worn.

don’t know what it was as the mechanic took it out and I was not there when he replaced it with a new one.

Don’t know but it works fine now so I am happy

from what some of the comments were I removed the Verizon cell phone app off from the car app and maybe that was it. But with the new battery and no cell phone it now works fine and starts every time with no problems. I will continue to watch for the TBS that is supposed to be out by June 30th for the battery drain problem for this year vehicle and have them check it out then. Almost every year of this make has had some type of battery drain problem and all have a TBS for them.
