Just for closure on this in case anyone else has the same problem, I ended up rotating the tires such that the 2 with matching tread were on the front and recalibrated the system. After that, the light didn’t come back on. I subsequently replaced the 2 tires with mismatched tread depth and so now all 4 tires are roughly the same.
