I purchased a 2015 ford explorer new which
Also had a ding in the door and was rd they couldn’t fix it as it would show up worse after the repair. I have the rust issue on my hood and was told by food that this is not covered under my extended warranty. I have rust coming out on the bottom of my doors too. Any ideas on the rust issue before I pay to have a new hood put on by someone that can do the job right!
My only thought is to discuss the doors with the body shop when you go for the estimate on the hood.
Your Explorer has/had a 5yr. unlimited mileage corrosion perforation warranty. If it’s less than 5 years old and rust is coming through the doors you might have a case. In that event, there’s a number for Ford corporate in your Owner’s Manual. Your extended warranty is probably powertrain only.
