2014 Volkswagen Jetta feels "stuck" at 2000 rpm/60 mph

It takes off fine well to me at least but as soon as I get to 60 or 65 mph and wanna get up to speed on the highway my 2014 VW Jetta SE doesn’t want to go above 2,000 RPM and I can feel like the car feels stuck/doesn’t want to shift. The accelerator also slighty feels harder push down at this point. I was told to check my trans. fluid and or have my fuel injectors checked, is this correct or where should I start?

It sounds like the transmission is not downshifting, which it should when you are at highway speed and give the gas pedal a big push. You would feel the car accelerate, and see the RPMs climb well above 2000.

Checking the trans fluid level is something you can probably do. See owners manual for procedure. But it’s unlikely to be the source of the problem.

The car probably needs a mechanic to check it out. Don’t tell them to check your transmission or injectors; tell them the symptoms you are having.
