2014 Hyundai Elantra oil question

Just look at a parts store site for oil with your model of car.

All the oils I found for this car were 5W30. That being said, I would guess 0W40 would be just fine. This is really just a workaround for additional anti-wear additives that don’t meet US EPA standards because of potential fouling of the emissions systems.

Most of these 0W40’s are great oils. The Mobil 1 version is cheap at places like Wal-Mart in a 5 quart jug.
