I have just bought a Honda CRV 2014.
I live in Indonesia and the top traffic speed generally speaking is 50-60ks.
I wondered if the automatic will select top gear at those speeds and does it matter? If it doesn’t over the lifetime of the car.it has economy mode.

They call them “automatic” transmissions for a reason. They shift automatically to give you the best gear for the speed. Don’t worry about it. Drive on and enjoy your new to you car.
