as you start to pick up speed from a stop light or starting up a hill the car sounds like it has loud mufflers on it.very loud. the same when you start the car.
You might have broken the exhaust before the muffler. Have it checked soon at a good independent repair shop as the exhaust gasses can make you sick, or worse. The noise is just annoying.
