It takes a long time to speed up I have the pedal to the floor and it wont go pass forty then it slowly makes it’s way to 75

mileage?
is it a diesel or gas engine?
is the check engine light on?
do you have any codes?
have you changed fuel and air filters?
have you kept up with the maintenance?

You need to provide a lot more information including miles and engine type. Depending upon what the RPMs are doing in all of this…
High revs but not much movement could mean a slipping transmission.
Slow revving and gutless could mean a worn out engine, dragging or seized turbocharger, waste gate issue, clogged air filter or exhaust, etc.
It might help to know whether this problem came on suddenly or over time.
