My 2011 Tacoma V6 with 5 sp. auto has only 25,000 mi. on odometer. Last time I took it for dealer service, asked about changing oil in the trans.
I was told they NEVER change trans. oil, since it is supposed to last life of vehicle. Service tech admitted that older trk. gets, less effective and more contaminated trans. oil becomes. So what is the deal, with no drain, flush and change trans. oil??
Really? Only 25,000 miles?
Toyota never changes the trans oil… but I do and many here recommend it on a regular basis. Likely no drain plug, but drop the pan, change the filter, if it has one, and pour in new fluid.
