went through a large puddle car stalled when pushed out of water car started but ran until we went above 2500 rpmsthen it was rough and wouldn’t go any faster
It’s possible enough water got sucked into the engine to damage some internal part, semi-hydro locked in other words. Open the air filter box. Is the filter element wet? It’s also possible the high voltage ignition system got wet. If that’s the case simply allowing time for it to dry out might solve it.
I had a VW Rabbit years ago that would stall out whenever I drove even slightly fast through a big puddle. That was caused by the coil – which had a small crack in it – getting wet.
Check engine light on? Any diagnostic codes?
