Hello everyone,
I am the proud new owner of a 2011 Mini Cooper hardtop. I just got it a week ago, and I’ve noticed that as I slow down to come to a stop, the engine kind of…hesitates. It almost feels like the engine is braking for me (it’s an automatic transmission).
Is this normal? I’ve never had a Mini before and I am still getting used to its quirks (though I totally love the car and it is SO much fun to drive).
If this is NOT normal, what might it be?
Also, do fellow Mini owners recommend going to the dealer for repairs & maintenance, or will an ordinary mechanic be ok? (I have a mechanic that I like and trusted with my old Toyota).
