My jeep failed inspection, it has a P0456 code - small Evap leak. It’s not the gas cap, got a smoke test but didn’t show any leaks. They said oil leak… Any idea what else could solve this problem? Help!!
I can’t see how an oil leak can have anything to do with your evap system. I don;t know what stat you are in, but ibn some states like NY, you can have one emissions system not ready to be read. The evap system is usually the last on ready. If you have a code reader or know someone who has one, start by clearing the code, most of them will show what systems are not ready to be read and when the evap system is the only one not ready, get it inspected. It will not pass if your check engine light is on.
