This about the July 13th letter // How…stop…emergency. I would have first stated - DO NOT TURN OFF THE IGNITION UNTILL THE CAR HAS COME TO A STOP. Because that locks the steering wheel. After all, this is an emergency and the passenger isn’t used to driving.
The steering will not lock with the ignition in the “OFF” position, the ignition must be in the “LOCK” position. You can not turn the ignition to the lock position with the shift lever in drive or neutral.
