brake light comes on with headlights
are you sure it’s the brake lights and not the park lights?
have somebody step on the brake pedal and see if they get brighter.
Agree unless OP is talking about the brake light on the dash.
I remember a recall on my 2011 MKZ taillights. Check if yours has been done.
