I replaced the fuel sensor in the gas tank,and my fuel gauge
still does not work most of the time. Did the 2008 Pontiac Torrent have this issue in other models with a faulty stepper motor?
Pontiac is a GM product, right? GM products of that era did tend to have problematic instrument gauge stepper actuators. But I don’t see anything in the service bulletins about that. There’s a tsb for a gauge problem caused by faulty software. The instrument panel cluster has to be re-programmed. 08-08-49-017B Check to see if that’s been done yet.
