battery light cones after 3 or 4 miles will not turn off untell you stop the engiine
That symptom is often caused by a battery or alternator problem. As a first step, suggest to hire a shop to do a routine battery & alternator test.
My diy’er voltage-test: Before the first start of the day the battery should measure about 12.6 volts. Then immediately after starting the engine, 13.5 - 15.5 volts. You are welcome to post your own results here for more ideas.
You need to check the voltage while the battery light is on to see if the alternator is charging or over charging then… Do you have to charge the battery back up after this happens??
