4 times in the last 8 months when starting the car the flashers come on and the lights on the dash blink off and on and the car will not start or turn over. Removed key and try again and nothing. Car seemed to be dead. Try again an hour or two later and no problem at all. It happened today (opened the door manually with the key and when the door was opened the flashers came on, it started fine an hour later. Could opeing the door with the key be messing up the security system??? Mechanic thought I might have a bad key.
Isn’t this car still under warranty? If so you local Hyundai dealer should take care of this problem for you.
Left it with my local mechanic for a week and it started several times every day. day. I didn’t buy it new.
