It won’t turn off…I have tried what has worked in the past (filling up the gas, making sure the gas cap is on correctly) but this time the light will not turn off. Any suggestions on what to do next?
Check at your local auto part’s store. Many will scan your car’s computer for information. It may point out what might be the problem. Write down the actual error codes, they will be in the format [P1234] and post them back here.
Note: the code reader may off some additional information like “Converter low” That does NOT mean the converter is bad, it means something related to the converter is giving an error message. The CODES tell us more. Several different codes might produce the same error message, but different codes.
