My Jeep Wrangler turns like it is in 4 wheel drive but it’s not. When I am turning into tight corners it does the jerking motion like it would do in 4 wheel. I’ve checked and rechecked to make sure it is not engaged. It is not.
I’d have the linkage and transfer case checked out. It could be hung up in 4wd. Just a guess though.

Just made sure the controls are in 2WD?
Or you jacked one front wheel off the ground to see if it rotates? If it rotates, it is in 2WD, if it doesn’t, it is in 4WD.
