Maybe once in 150,000 miles. Maybe never. It depends.
IMO, MAF failures are not that common. They hold up pretty well.
Any particular reason you are asking? Codes set or you were told X amount of dollars, etc?
More often, what the MAF fails, it is b/c it’s covered w/a thin layer of dust/grime etc. Cleaning it often solves the problem, without needing to replace the part. Although it might need to be temporarily removed to get a thorough cleaning job.
You could use the forum search feature here to see what other’s experiences are their car’s MAF. I don’t recall very many posts where that part failed completely & had to be replaced. Pretty robust gadget, no moving parts.
