I purchased a certified pre-owned blah, blah, blah, 2006 Honda Civic less than 3 weeks ago and it is already in the shop! The car has less than 50,000 miles and is blowing white smoke from the tailpipe in the mornings or afternoons if not used for several hours. I’m used to this with my beloved '99 Camry but only on cold mornings. I live in Georgia and it’s late August so cold weather is obviously not to blame! Has anyone heard of issues with this particular year/model? I left the car with my mechanic (not the dealer) and hope to hear something by tomorrow…Any information would be extremely helpful.
If the car is Honda Certified Preowned it should have come with an excellent warranty. I think you should have taken it to the dealer rather than your mechanic.
