I’m trying to help a relative who lives in the Caribbean. His 2006 Ford Ranger starts and idles good, but as soon as he steps on the brake; the engine cuts off. I would appreciate any suggestions as to what is going on. Thanks.
Have your relative turn on the headlights while the engine is idling.
If the engine stalls, the battery/charging system should be looked at.
