2005 GMC Yukon - Low oil pressure

Do you know how much work it is to replace the oil pump in your engine?

As VDC likes to point out engine failure hardly ever happens in your own driveway . The chance that is fails at the worst possible time is real .

@p.morrison_2018_173915 Quit messing around and fix this thing .

I think what the folks here are telling you is that low oil pressure is the ā€œresultā€ not the ā€œcauseā€. So focusing on oil pressure instead of bearing failure is like failing to address a deep wound with the resulting lower blood pressure.

I havenā€™t heard anybody use that term in awhile

ā€œbusticatedā€ . . . no further diagnosis needed :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

I have not worked on anything like that, but on top, bearing and shaft holes that line up continuously or with rotation are metering oil from one place to another, so seeing that hole in the bearing suggests that something else is getting improper lubrication.
