Just noticed today that I wasn’t getting any warm air out of my heater. I just checked the surge tank and it is totally empty. Can’t find a cap for the radiator so can’t check the fluid. Is there anything else I should do before I take it to the mechanic tomorrow.
I would consider having it towed rather than driving it. If the coolant is low enough that the heater isn’t working you may cause significant damage to the engine by driving it.
The owner’s manual should have information about the filler cap location and/or checking the coolant level.
Well I will probably buy some coolant and if I can check the lvl in the rad. The engine wasn’t overheating though so that is good. Will know more tomorrow.
