Sorry, read that wrong. Part of living in Iowa is also partly how you take care of the car in the winter and you never know what the winter is going to be like here. You could have one really bad winter and then 3 really mild winters with hardly any snow and ice
I live in California and rust just isn’t much of a concern where I am. But I used to live in New England, where rust is a plague of Biblical size. We called it “cancer”. And it was, consuming cars and trucks. My 1966 Pontiac Tempest convertible actually broke in half and collapsed in 1976.
