My mechanic took of my rusty catalytic converter heat shield, will I be ok to drive without the heat shield, he said it won’t be a problem.
The jury is out on that one. Some folks say it’s fine. Others, like myself, say it was there for a reason. If you’re uncomfortable and you plan to keep the vehicle for a while my advice as a non-mechanic would be to have it replaced
