I have a 2004 chevy express 2500hd cargo van that has 68,000 miles on it.
I bought the vehicle with 60,000 miles, and it drove wonderful. I changed the tranny oil, i use 5w-30 syn blend oil, and as of my latest oil change it seems as if its consuming oil. I think i have a leak because it has shown no signs of oil consumption until now. I was thinking of switching to a 5w-50 as lately i been using the vehicle to tow a 7X16 trailer in 100 degree weather…
Recently i bought aftermarket tranny cooler, and engine oil cooler to possibly help keep temps down.
Any suggestions would help.
