when stoping from over 40 mph either with or without using brakes, when speed drops to 28-30 mph, the van jumps (slightly) feels like it was bumped, makes a slight sound, then continues to stop.
That usually means the transmission is going into limp mode. Have the computer scanned for codes. Post them back here.
