The engine coolant is leaking somewhere. There is a smell of anti-freeze when I turn the heat on (Turn the control to open the heater core). I recently replace the radiator because it was cracked soon after that It started loosing coolant again. When the radiator was cracked I put a can of stop leak in the coolant in a attempt to stop the leak.It didn’t work. Could the stop leak clogged the heater core and cause the leak I have now? Or could it simply be a leaky heater core? There appears to be some leakage from one of the hoses that feed the heater core located the firewall leading into the dash board.
Thanks for your help
Stop leak doesn’t create leaks. I’d say it is a good bet that your heater core is leaking.
