Own a VW GTI, 2002, failed smog test, replaced catalytic converter but the computer said not reset. We have been driving it at 55, but not working and following on line suggestions but so far no luck.
Have you had the codes read after replacing the catalytic converters?
If so, post the codes here and maybe someone will give you some ideas.
You have to keep repeating the drive cycle for the catalytic converter until the readiness monitor resets.
