That happens a lot when the dilithium crystals get wet.
Wear a jacket and bring an umbrella is case it rains while you are walking.

If it has a distributor, there could be moisture inside. Take off the cap to see. If it has plug wires, they could be absorbing moisture. Bring them inside and dry them. Put them back on, warm and dry, on a cold rainy day and see what happens.
Do you have a 2.2 4 cylinder or a 3.4 6 cylinder? It makes a difference.
