For the past few weeks, my step-mom’s car has been having trouble starting. When she turns the key, it cranks for a while and will sometimes start, but usually doesn’t. If she turns the key off, but then tries again right away, it will almost always start. The second time, when it starts it also makes that noise that cars make if they start normally, but you keep holding the key in the start position for some reason. My dad is sure he can figure it out eventually, but any ideas would be appreciated.
So for the most part it doesn’t even try the first time, but the second try it wants to start, and if I understand you, it does not only try to start but often does start.
I think your injectors are leaking gas.
