2002 Ford Taurus - Power steering troubles

Replaced my power steering pump because it was making noise but power steering still worked. Once i replaced it nothing changed so I bled the system and after i did that i lost all power steering completely

Any evidence of P/S fluid loss?

Either the PS pump pulley isn’t turning or there’s air remaining in the system. try turning the steering wheel all the way to the left while the engine idles, then the right, very slowly. do this 2 or 3 times back and forth, slowly, while monitoring the ps fluid level. top it up immediately if it goes down during the process. watch under the car for any leaks developing too.

note: there’s a special procedure ford recommends using a special vacuum device to purge the system prior to manual bleeding.
