My '02 Ford Ranger (automatic) would not start in park and there were times I couldn’t shift it in neutral to start it. It would also roll in park and I had to use the EBrake. Mechanics replaced the bushing for the shifter but it still won’t start in park, though I can now easily shift into neutral to do so. It will still sometimes roll while in park so still using the EBrake. The mechanics are baffled. Any ideas?
Have you thought about putting your left foot on the brake pedal or having the neutral switch replaced ?
