2001 Subaru Forester Front Brakes

I recently had NAPA Good rated ceramic front pads put on my Subaru. However, I still have to push the brake pedal nearly to the floor to get the car to come to a complete stop. When stopped, I have about 1" clearance between the pedal and the floor. The spec in the operator’s manual says I should have over 2" clearance.Does this mean the pads are bad and should I ask the garage to replace them. Any suggestions or recommendations?

What you really should do is pay to have the brake fluid flushed out.
I bet that will bring back your pedal feel, because you most likely have air in the system.
